International Gin Day

In mid-June, the world celebrates International Gin Day. It is known that gin is created on the basis of juniper berries, coriander, dudnik or violet root and citrus zest. Among the main fans of gin is Spain, where more than a liter of the drink per person per year. Many countries are now seeing a rise in the popularity of gin, particularly among the younger generation, who often choose it for parties and cocktails. 

Since ancient times, the "cure" for hangovers has been a cocktail of gin and tomato juice. And the classic gin and tonic originated in the British colonies: quinine from the tonic helped with malaria, and gin was added to mask the bitterness of the quinine.
