Neoseptal Clis a liquid foam-free disinfectant based on active chlorine in a slightly alkaline formulation. Stabilizers reduce the release of active chlorine during storage and increase the corrosion safety of the product.

Fields of application:

Neoseptal Cl can be used by all possible circulation and spraying methods in all sectors of the food industry as a disinfectant for the treatment of prewashed plants, containers, tanks, pipelines, packaging machines and filling lines, as well as machine parts and installations, both in cold and hot water. Special applications are the warm water zone of bottle washers, disinfection and prevention of algae growth in cooling circuits and ice machines as well as the fight against mold.

Materials used in the food industry are not damaged if the prescribed concentrations, temperatures and times of exposure are observed.
Artificial materials are also resistant to neoseptal Cl at high concentrations and temperatures up to 45°C.

Dosage:

Working concentrations of neoseptal Cl range from 10 ppm (water disinfection and prevention of algae growth) to 8% (mold control), depending on the application.

Standard concentrations for circulating disinfection are 0.2-0.3%.

Reliable disinfection is achieved in 5 minutes at a temperature of 20-40°C.

Exposure times in excess of 30 minutes may create a tendency for through corrosion. If the carbon dioxide content in the water is high or when disinfecting after an acid wash step, corrosion may occur due to (re)oxidation of neoseptal Cl.

It is necessary to rinse with clean water for complete removal of residues in accordance with the Food and Consumer Goods Act after each disinfection of surfaces that come into contact with food.
